FROM SURVIVAL TO SERVICE

Madori's advocacy is ultimately about what happens after survival. It is about taking an experience that could have remained private and using it to create connection. It is about speaking when silence feels easier. It is about making room for conversations that people are often afraid to have. And it is about using the power of a story not simply to say “this happened to me,” but to ask:

“What can we change because it happened?”

“I survived what could have destroyed me, and now I'm using what I learned to help other people.”

Madori is an outspoken mental health advocate whose advocacy is deeply rooted in lived experience. As a suicide survivor living with bipolar disorder, she understands the importance of honest conversations about mental health, suicide prevention, stigma, and the realities that often remain hidden behind silence.

Her advocacy extends beyond sharing her own story. Madori has worked directly with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), previously serving as Social Media Chair for the Los Angeles Chapter and as a public speaker for the Northern New Jersey Chapter.

Through speaking, storytelling, education, and public engagement, Madori works to make difficult conversations more accessible — and to remind people that surviving an experience does not mean the story ends there.
